The Miquelets or Micalets were mercenaries of the Catalan Revolt during the armed conflict that faced the Government of Catalonia with King Philip IV. Hence the popular name derives from the root of the reference to an armed paradoxically survived the war and became popular at the beginning of Catalonia between the XVII-XIX centuries, despite the similarity to the name, do not keep any Migueletes leasehold relationship with Navarre, Guipuzcoa and Vizcaya.
