Caganer Pinocchio

A lie, no matter the size of it, is always a lie. Every time a child tells a fib, he fears his nose might get longer and hopelessly betray him. This fear is only given -believe it or not- by a wooden puppet with a certain tendency to hide the truth: Pinocchio! This naughty kid owns a nose that embarrasses him in a sort of a moral punishment so that everyone notices when he is such a liar. Despite Pinocchio’s pranks, both the marionette and his father -Geppetto the carpenter- always make a good impression, sort of like the amusing picaresque that arouses our little friend here, the caganer. Surely those two would become very good friends, whether in Italy or in Catalonia!
