Regarding the tree, the Strawberry Tree is intended to symbolise a dispute between the Villa and the clergy Members of Madrid about the ownership of land covered with strawberry trees. As a curiosity, the bear in the statue is willing to eat the leaves because back then it was a remedy against the plagues.
