Caganer Duc Amb Barretina
The eagle owl is the biggest bird of the owl’s family who tents to make their nest on natural holes on the ground. Here, in Torroella de Montgrí, we have a karstic cave, el Cau de Duc (The Lair of the Eagle owl), known because prehistoric Mesolithic men used to live there and also because a short while ago was home to a huge eagle owl. In order to give him a local touch, we created an eagle owl’s version with barretina for those who are fond of tradition. I bet you see one flying around on of these days!
