Puppy Guggenheim

Puppy, the large floral puppy of the West Highland White Terrier breed, welcomes visitors to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. It is a work by the American artist Jeff Koons. The second version of this piece was installed in Bilbao in October 1997. This work comes to life and changes its appearance depending on the flowers placed inside its steel structure, which, according to the museum's website, "implies an uneven and anarchic growth and makes the work something alive, alluding to the power of life, including its spiritual dimension.".
