Caganer Montserrat Caballé

Montserrat Caballé was la Superba, as Maria Callas was la Divina or Joan Sutherland la Stupenda. Without overemphasize or fall short, she was one of the best opera soprano of the 20th century. Native to Barcelona and Catalan to the marrow, Caballé used her voice on a whim and wholeheartedly thanks to her technical virtuosity and her skills as an interpreter. Would it be forward to consider her the "last Catalan diva"? Probably not: not many made a duet with Freddie Mercury or had always bear a resemblance to Bianca Castafiore (although anachronistic), the opera singer in The Adventures of Tintin.
