Caganer Frida Khalo
“I am my own muse, I am the subject I know best". This is how one of the most famous Mexican painters of the 20th century defined herself, before becoming a cultural icon thanks to its contradictory, feminist, personal, cheerful and passionate attitude. Two constants in Frida's life were love and disease; nevertheless, she knew how to transform suffering into art in order to offer a work full of celebration, color, blood and life oscillating between surrealism and realism, but always keeping a style that has inspired many later artists. ¡Viva la vida!
